What should I do to prepare for upcoming wax appointment?
Prior to coming in you’ll want to exfoliate with a scrub, exfoliating mitt, or dry brush 3-4 times a week.
How long does my hair need to be?
Your hair shoul be close to the length of a grain of rice. Trimming is recommended if longer to ensure the best results possible.
Can I take anything to help with pain?
Yes, you can take an ibuprofen a half hour prior to your appointment.
What should I do for aftercare?
You’ll want to continue exfoliating 3-4 times a week. An ingrown hair serum should be used daily. Always remember to moisturize your skin everyday.
What products should I use at home?
Your wax specialist will be able to go over the recommended products to use at home.
What is an ingrown hair?
An ingrown hair is a condition where the hair grows underneath of the skin. Causes can vary from hair breakage, lack of natural exfoliation, or genetically prone due to the type of hair you have. It may or may not be accompanied by an infection.
Is there anything I shouldn’t do immediately after my wax?
For the next 24-48 hours you’ll want to avoid anything that would cause sweating (exercise, tanning beds, saunas), no swimming, and no sexual contact. You can begin your aftercare routine 48 hours after your waxing service.
